How To Get Resin Out Of Clothes

Help me ents, any tricks to get resin off clothing?! :-(

I don't know how I got it smeared on one of my dear, dear Threadless hoodies, but there it is, all sticky and black and gross, and on a light-colored fabric to boot. Does anyone have any tricks? I'm worried about smearing it around so I'm kinda scared to try anything myself without some experience behind it. Maybe rubbing alcohol? Acetone? Help?!

PS I love you guys, even if nobody can help.

Rubbing alcohol will only thin and spread it out.

Maybe try freezing it first... then, armed with a magnifying glass and tweezers [and an ice cube for recooling] you might be able to tweeze it away like gum...

...oh, or WD40!! Try that, it does stains.

I've used wd40 on stains before, and will definitely keep that in mind... but probably only as a last resort. it makes everything smell like wd40 for a looong time.

Goof Off! might work. Test it on somewhere that no one will notice to make sure it doesn't stain. That's probably your best bet.

This may not make the stain come out depending on how big the stain is, but brushing it thoroughly with detergent (or any of those stain-away thing) before washing may actually work in this case. It doesn't hurt if you try this before trying isopropanol, acetone, or any other organic solvent. And if it works you don't have to risk ruining the shirt.

Awesome from the dollar store. I know it doesn't make sense, but that shit is one of the best products ever. Got a huge resin smear off my new white sweatshirt with that and a nylon dish scrub brush. It truly is fucking awesome stuff.

Have you tried to smoke until you have enough MP to "will" the stain away with your mind?

Wish I could try that but I'm dry until I get paid... this is why I was fucking around with resin in the first place. Boo.
